you photogs – you’re great. i can’t thank you all enough for your business over the last few years. stephen gosling, a very talented dude asked me if i could doodle a doodle of his wife and her favorite pals she works with at the zoo! a sloth bear and a panda bear – how could i say no?! it was a ton of fun to look at pictures and get some inspiration – cute animals! a trip to hawaii later, here we have it! corrine loved it – which is great – always wonderful to hear! happy valentine’s day (a little late) to everyone!
stay tuned for a special cherry blossom special to be announced in march! :)
the holidays certainly got away from me. i was a doodle machine the last 2 weeks in december and my little bloggy blog was neglected. Michelle Lindsay (yet another photog extraordinaire!) asked me to whip up a holiday doodle for her fam. it’s been a while since they’ve taken a family photo, so this was a great way to get them all together! and no one had to worry about blinking! :) i hope they loved it, michelle! :)
i’ve said this: i’m lucky. i have an incredible list of clients, all very talented themselves, & they gush over me. julia macinnis, a fab photog, is awesome – clearly. she was so patient with me as my broken wing healed to a point where i could draw, & waited until this past weekend to prepare christmas cards – very awesome…i start panicking on the 5th if i’m not ready for all that. once she had it, she flipped – in a good way!
julia & her family moved into their dream house during a very “lush” season – it’s one of the best parts of the house, so even though it’s christmas time, green, lively plants were definitely part of the plan. christmas lights, a wreath and a sassy scarf for julia brought the holiday theme in, & i’m so glad – i’m super happy with the way it turned out, but more importantly, that julia & her family will have this doodle for years to come. :)
this is my favorite doodle from last year. some of you will recall the INSANE and AMAZING amount of snow we received after christmas. this doodle was inspired by a great snowball fight evie&christian engaged in w/ their daddy-o. it was HILARIOUS to watch, & inevitably, someone ended up none-too-pleased. i watched from the safety and warmth of the kitchen.
anyway, i’m using this for our holiday card this year, too, because i just adore it (if i do say so, myself)!
enjoy!
does it appear that perhaps this doodle is me? well, close. sarah is one of my cousins on my mom’s side, and for better or for worse, we all look exactly the same. blonde. mini. loud. :)
sarah & her husband nate live down in texas – hence the missing snow. this card will also be turned in to a postcard, printed by one of my 7 look-alike aunts in LeRoy, NY at LP Graphics. the do amazing work. they’ve printed ever shirt i’ve ever needed, wedding invites for family and other clients, and business cards. they do it all. look them up!
more doodles to show in the next week, so stay tuned!
